Yrineo "Pat" Casillas Jr's Obituary
Yrineo “Pat” Casillas, Jr., 87, of Avant, Oklahoma passed away on April 9, 2021, in his son’s home. He was born on June 5, 1934, to parents Yrineo and Rosa Casillas, in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he spent most of his life until his later years. If you knew Pat you knew he was an avid golfer, whose love for the sport started at a young age. When he was 14 Pat started his golfing career as a golf caddy at Southern Hills. When he started he would take the bus to its final stop at 31st street and have to walk the rest of the way to the golf course! Throughout his life, Pat would always keep the love of golf that he gained at such a young age!
Years later he would meet the love of his life, and they spent 25 years together before she passed. Throughout his working career, Pat worked as a butcher. He worked his way up from a delivery man, to a butcher and spent many years doing what he loved. Along with his career, his hobbies, and his wife he also had an intense love for the Oklahoma Sooners!
He is remembered by his children, Patricia Allred, and husband Danny of Avant, Oklahoma; Vickie Collins of Avant, Oklahoma; Steve Casillas, and wife Kim of Avant, Oklahoma; Mary Strawser and husband Keith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 11 grandkids, 22 great-grandkids, and 9 great-great grandkids; siblings; Lala Condley, and husband Alvin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Andrew Casillas and wife Karen of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Irene Garrison of Tulsa, Oklahoma; along with a host of other nieces and nephews, and other families members who will forever remember and miss him.
Pat is preceded in passing by his wife of 25 years Jorena Casillas, father Yrineo Casillas Sr, and mother Rosa Casillas, brother “Lover” Casillas, Sister Delores Veliz, grandson Adam Allred, and great-grandson Baby Jax.
