I will miss my uncle Amer! I remember going to the farm, walking the fields with him and fishing with him, and shooting turtles and snakes in the farm ponds. He was always fun to be with. He and his wife, Shirley, taught a 10 year old to play Pinochle and let him sit in when one of my parents needed a break. I first new Amer before he married my mom's sister. I was the ring bearer at their wedding. I remember he showed up one morning at the farm alone and said Shirley was not up to coming with him. It seems she had given birth to their daughter late the night before or early that morning. He was coming to personally tell the family!!
