Way back at Ross Elementary my husband Bob Passmore went to school with Barbara. I meant her through friends. I was one year ahead of her at Will Rogers. We attended many dinners together. But, this past 2 years she and I went to a lot of lunches and talked and laughed a lot about nothing important. We had fun together. I miss her very much. She was a really good friend. I am sorry I could not attend today. Sending my love and sympathy to all of her family.
It has been a long, long time. So long, that my memory of her is not as good as I would wish. But, what I do remember makes my heart smile. I remember her totally loving, giving manner, but in such a relaxed way that she made people always feel right at Home. She was so funny and natural. Sam was fun for sure, but Barbara had that special something that made you want to be in her presence. Now that I have found my faith, I know where she got the Love that surpasses all understanding. She is at home with her Father in Heaven. Barbara was a big part of my life when I was a teenager. She was so beautiful, classy, and kind. I'm a better person for knowing her. Sending love and sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

I had the opportunity to meet Barbara when she worked as my back up receptionist at Bama. She was a precious sweet lady. She and I talked about so many things. Oh how she made me laugh. One day I walked in and she had taken every single thing out of her purse and had her stuff all over my desk. I said Barbara did you lose something sweetie. She looked at me and said in a frantic voice, She said yes I lost something very important I said what is it and I'll help you find it. She looked at me again and said well I put some M & M's in 2 little baggies for you and I to snack on and I can't find them. I said girl you are silly! She said no I have to have my M & M's. Oh we both chuckled. I said girly put your stuff back in your purse and I'll go get you some M & M's. From the first day she worked she had to have her M & M's everyday. She was so cute! Barbara will always be remembered as sweet Barbara liked by many at Bama!
