Barbara Louise Dunlap's Obituary
Barbara Louise (Goss) Dunlap was born November 24, 1930 in Chouteau, Oklahoma to John T. and Mary Elsie Goss. She passed to Heaven on April 4, 2016 at the age of 85. Barbara graduated from Pryor High School in 1948, moving to Tulsa to work as a secretary at Pittsburg Plate Glass Company where she met and married Clinton “Bud” Dunlap, raising 4 daughters, Judy, Jane, Jeri and Jann. Bud and Barbara were married for 57 years before Bud’s passing in 2008. Barbara retired after many years with MAPCO (Mid-America Pipeline Company). Barbara was known as “my little Grannie” by her 4 grandchildren, Melanie, Clint, Amy and Jeff and her 4 great-grandchilden, Gracen, Tori, Caden and Knox. She beamed with pride every time she saw them. Barbara’s favorite past time was reading. There was always a stack of library books waiting to be read or taken back to the library to pick up more. If she wasn’t reading, she was trying her odds at the casino. She was the best penny machine slot machine player ever! Barbara was a member and officer of Tulsa Cherokee Community Organization, Goingsnake District Heritage Association, The Association of the Descendants of Nancy Ward, Oklahoma Chapter of the Trail of Tears Association, National Trail of Tears Association, Daughters of the American Revolution at the Union Mission Chapter in Pryor, Oklahoma and several other organizations. Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Chuck Jordan; daughter, Jane Maxey; daughter, Jeri Wood; daughter and son-in-law, Jann and Jon Sullivan; granddaughter, Melanie and Phil Agent; grandson, Clint and Amanda Jordan; granddaughter, Amy and Jeremy Henderson; grandson, Jeff and Madison Maxey; 4 great-grandchildren, brother, Bruce Goss, sister, Ruby Sumner, sister, Shirley Lee, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.Pallbearers: Chuck Jordan, Clint Jordan, Jeff Maxey, Phil Agent, Bruce Goss, Jon Sullivan. Funeral Service 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
