Moon, Barbara's Obituary
Barbara Ann Moon, 67, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on May 15, 1958 in El Paso, Texas, to Jim L. and Rosie L. Conley-Moon. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa, OK in 1976. She held many jobs during her life but we imagine that her favorite was as a hair stylist. She even had her own shop for a while.
Barbara has endured many physical challenges and chronic pain for over 10 years, but she was a fighter. We have never known anyone with such resilience and determination to overcome the barrage of one challenge after another. Barbara’s intense desire was to be well enough to help others that were also suffering with pain, illness, loneliness or despair. She told us often that’s what kept her going. When she was still able to get out and drive around, she would seek out people who were homeless or struggling to just sit and talk with them - give them food, a hug or just be a friend. She did the same thing as she spent this past year in and out of the hospital and nursing facilities. She made friends with everyone, taking time to visit and share candy, snacks and conversation with those around her that may be lonely or in pain. Her deep faith and love for Jesus carried her through it all.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents, Jim & Rosie Moon. She is survived by her daughter, Natalie R. Howard, two grandsons, Aiden and Noah Howard; two sisters and their husbands, Larry and Karen Moon-Tinker, Jim and Judi Moon-Dittus; nieces Jade, Emily and Luci Dittus and nephew Eli Dittus.
We are thankful for her many doctors and caregivers over this past year.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, 1 pm, at Floral Haven Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She will be interned there alongside her parents.
Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home from 4pm to 7pm for those that would like to pay their respects.
