I had the great honor of caring for Mr. Barnes at the VA hospital in Muskogee. Although I only cared for him for a short time, I felt I had known him for years and even though he was fighting an illness, his sense of humor and sparkle in his eyes made me look forward to each visit. I knew he was a great Dad because I met all four of his kids and boy do they love him! Every time he came to the clinic he showed me pics of his grandsons. He always had a smile on his face when he talked about his family. I felt like I knew all of them. He was a great man and he has terrific kids. Trey, Tammy, TIm and TJ, be proud of how you cared for him because it is rare! I won’t forget him!
The Grayson family had such wonderful memories through sports and just having fun in our younger life’s with the Barnes family.
I have many fond memories of the times Bud and I spent in Colorado and Lake Tahoe. He taught me how to ski.
We had so many great times with Bud and family. Prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.
