Ben quickly endeared himself to me, as a friend and, as he might have said, a "Dutch uncle." 😉 I found out in chatting with Ben that he had grown up very near to where I did. And although 15 years apart in age, Ben shared stories of both of his wonderful salvation in Christ, and some really fond reminiscences of common places and interests in the New York that we both loved, once upon a time. We enjoyed coffee together not long before Sandra and I moved to Alabama, and he shared wise counsel and some amazing stories of his own adventures in moving (especially in Central America)!
My only regret is that I didn't make more time to spend with Ben over the 5 years we had been at OFH Church 🥲 His fellowship enriched my heart, and he was truly one of those great Godly men who I could relate to as an elder in the Faith, and as a buddy and pal, who never left me feeling anything but glad and cheered inside. I so look forward to visiting with Ben again around our Lord's table soon💔 I miss him, but blest that he's enjoying Jesus and preparing for the reunion and Wedding of the Lamb. 'Bye for now, dear Ben, and the comfort and joy of the Holy Spirit be upon all his loved ones and friends. MARANATHA ! 🕊
