I was Ben's neighbor. He endured my pathetic lawn that limps along next to his luxurious (and well tended) one. He was at once quick with a wicked barb and sincere in his praise when he could see me doing my best… and ever quick to laugh. Ben was kind to my troubled son when others might not have been. I don't think he ever lost faith in anyone.I will miss Ben Samuels acutely for a long, long time.My deepest sympathy, Elaine. As I have told you before, that man was well matched in you. He was lucky in that.May God bless you and keep you.
