Benjamin Ferdinand Samuels' Obituary
Benajamin Ferdinand Samuels of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa from pancreatic cancer. He was 81 years old. Ben was born December 11, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Benjamin Franklin Samuels and Anna Klade Samuels. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1947 to 1951. Ben worked as an architect until 2010 designing residential, commercial, schools, and municipal buildings in 8 states and founded the firm Architectural Plus Associates in Tulsa in 1984. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine Samuels of Tulsa, OK; three sisters, Beatrice Templeton of Marengo, IL, Bernadine Salzman of Walworth, WI, and Beverly “Fay” McCarthy of Tomahawk, WI; sons, Brad Samuels of Tulsa, OK and Kirk Samuels of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren, Traci Samuels of Norman, OK, Zachary Samuels of Broken Arrow, Cameron Samuels of Broken Arrow, Millicent Samuels of Chapel Hill; and great-grandsons, Zane Driskill, Michael Connor Driskill and Joshua Driskill of Norman, OK Services will be held Monday, May 7th 10:30 AM at Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans.
