Erika Zingg Dugan
Sorry to have missed Betty's service. After I married Ike's youngest son Marc from his second marriage to Claudia after Betty, I was blessed to slowly blend with Betty and her extended family. Earlene, Bob, Anna and her children. It was another bloodline we were so pleased to hold on to. There was a time in losing Claudia I can never forget how they held our boys up during such grief, kept us strong in keeping family close.
Our son was a close cousin friend of Lonnie's son Luke then our youngest daughter had a similar close relationship with their adopted son Joel who became an important part of our family. Moving across the state and being able to do less in convalescent times eventually separated us in presence. Betty was always supportive although she continued to experience her own hard times and navigated much. She remained a pillar to her son and my brother in law Lonnie who needed support in raising his sons. She was a beautiful advocating person to know, centered in the humanity of family is family. Wishing her all the peace of a good afterlife and love to the family in this loss.
