Billie A. Adcock-Hall's Obituary
Billie A. Adcock-Hall Billie A. Beck was the 5th child born to Clara John and William Henry Beck. Raised in Quinton, Oklahoma, with six brothers and sisters, Billie learned strength and determination at a young age. After graduating high school, Billie married and started a family. Her son, James, was born in 1953 and her daughter, Niki, followed in 1960. In the mid-1960s, Billie made the courageous decision to attend the University of Tulsa as a non-traditional student—a woman with a family. She graduated and received her degree to begin a career in education. First teaching in the classroom, Billie worked her way up to administration, as a Vice-Principal with Jenks Public Schools and then as an administrator with the State Department of Education where she ultimately retired. Along the way, Billie earned her master’s degree and was a driving force for community education in Oklahoma, even serving as the Director for Community Education with the State Department. In 1980, Billie received her favorite title of all, Nana, with the birth of her first grandchild, Jennifer, to her son, James, and Seth soon followed. Kyle was born to Niki and her husband, Bob. Later, Lori was added to the list of grandchildren, joining Niki and Bob’s family. In 1993, Billie married her long-time love, Larry Hall, and enjoyed over twenty-three years of marriage. Together, Billie and Larry suffered loss such as the deaths of James and Jennifer, celebrated joys like the births of great-grandchildren—Sean-David, Noah, Henry, Millie, and Taze, and drew strength from each other in times of need, especially the survival and recovery from surgery to remove a brain tumor.Billie had an ability to touch people’s lives in the shortest of moments and is survived by countless acquaintances, friends, and family who remember Billie’s guidance (stern as it was at times), enduring strength, and unwavering love. . The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the donors choice.
