As his grandson he taught me to play dominoes and card games such as gin and solitaire. He was always very encouraging, complimenting my intelligence frequently. We watched Star Trek, Robo-Cop, Cowboys football, and more… We played croquet in his backyard and we’d go to Braum’s for ice cream, burgers, and conversation. He loved dressing up as Santa Clause during Christmas and cared more about caring for his family than caring for himself.

I have known Calvin since I was 9 years old. Spent many, many days at the Pinkham house when I was very young. Have been friends with his daughter Karen since we were in the 4th grade. He was a wonderful man. My prayers are with the family.
