Calvin Pinkham's Obituary
Calvin Ray Pinkham, 84, was born on September 21, 1932 in DeKalb, Texas and passed away on June 6, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Calvin graduated from Dekalb High School in 1950. He was very dedicated to his studies and it resulted in leaving with bragging rights of straight As. After school, he moved to Dallas at the age of 17 in order to pursue a career with Red Ball Motor Freight. Eventually, Calvin made his way back to Sand Springs, Oklahoma, where he worked as General Wire well into his 80’s- He just loved what he did and his fellow coworkers that much!Calvin was very involved in the community, serving as a Master Mason at Tandehill Lodge for over 50 years, volunteering as both Deacon and Elder at Berean Bible Church and Mesquite Bible Church, and hosting a number of missionary families. He loved to bowl, play dominoes, and tend to his yard, which was always the best on the block.Calvin is preceded in death by his spouse Margaret JoeAnn Pinkham; parents Stanley and Hazel Pinkham; brothers Bobby D. and Harold Wayne Pinkham; and sisters Laura Jane Garcia and Wanda Joy Archibald.He is survived by daughters Phyllis and husband Rickey McElroy, Lori and husband Nick Lux, and Karen and husband Dave Carter; brother Grald Pinkham; sister Mary Frances Hall; stepchildren SuAnn and husband Jerry Howington, Dennis and wife Debbie Guey, and Jeffrey and wife Rachel Guey; grandsons Brandon Prichard, Blake Wimberly, Shane Wimberly, Alexander Nelson, Elisha McCullough, Chase Guey, Jordan Guey, Ryan Guey, Troy Guey, Jaren Guey, Nick Smith, Joey Howington; granddaughters Annie Kapitan, Amy Guey, Alyssa Guey, Donna Castro, Ruby Devaney, and Krystal McCullough; 19 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.He was a loving husband, father, and friend and will forever remain in our hearts.Visitation will be held on Sunday, 6/11/2017, from 5 pm – 8 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for Monday, 6/12/2017, at the Floral Haven Chapel, 12:30 pm.
