Sue was a mentor and my friend for many years. She showed me how to be both strong and kind. I shall miss you Sue.

Sue was a professional colleague and friend. Those of us working in medical staff services recogize her as one of the true leaders of our profession.
During her career, she was a ground breaker for the profession in many ways – from recognition of the importance of the role of the medical services professional to development of some of the country’s first centralized credentialing systems.
Sue had a gift for building up people and encouraging them to be the best that they can be. On a personal level, she encouraged me to be an instructor and provided the mentoring opportunity for me to get involved with the education commitee for the National Association Medical Staff Services.
In my career as an MSP, she is the person that has most influenced me. Sir Isaac Newton said, "If I have seen further, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants". Sue is my “giant”. And although many newer MSPs do not know it, she is their “giant” as well. Her contributions to the medical services profession are an important part of where we are today. She will always be remembered.
Sue was the dearest friend to me for over 50 years. When we met we each had 3 sons and we did so many things together. We enjoyed going to Grand lake where the boys learned to water ski, I have so many wonderful memories of our times together some sad but more happy ones.
Sue was a professional colleague of mine for many, many years. I have so many wonderful memories of our times together. I'm so sad that she is no longer with us but I know she's finally at rest and is no longer suffering. She was an extremely giving, kind and thoughtful person who shared her wonderful insights and stories with many. Her laughter was contagious and I will be forever thoughtful that I got to have her as a friend. Sending my love to you, her family and friends.
My 16th birthday (40 years ago) I started my first job and my boss/Director was Sue King ❤️😊. I learned so very much from this wonderful woman! I loved working for her and with her… but I also loved having her as a special friend and mentor she was much more than just a supervisor. She excelled at her job and she loved others well - including me. Praying for comfort and peace for her family.
