I remember visiting “Aunt” Carolyn so many times—she truly felt like an aunt to me rather than a cousin. I always loved going to her home; her desserts were amazing! She taught both me and my daughter, Gracyn, how to knit and crochet, and she always had the most fun arts and crafts ready for us when we visited. Actually, I don't think they were ready for us...we just happened to be there and she shared her awesome craft ideas with us. Always had something on hand!
She loved sharing starters from her plants, jumping at any chance to come to Houston, and stopping by to see us while on her way to other adventures. She even came all the way to Lancaster, PA to visit!
She will be greatly missed. Her hospitality, dry sense of humor, and easygoing attitude made her such a joy to be around.
