Carolyn Jeanette Romine's Obituary
Carolyn Jeanette Romine passed away peacefully at her home of more than 50 years on March 14, 2026, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 87.
Carolyn was born on August 31, 1938, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to James Lakin and Lorene Meehan, and was later adopted by Cyril Meehan. On June 8, 1956, she married Bobby Romine, with whom she shared 58 years of devoted marriage. Carolyn was employed by Shell Oil Company for nearly 30 years prior to her retirement.
Carolyn was known for her creativity and dedication to her many interests. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting, and creating porcelain dolls, often designing and making detailed clothing for each one. Her work reflected both her talent and her careful attention to detail.
She was actively involved in her community and greatly valued her friendships. Carolyn was a longtime member of a Broken Arrow garden club and took great pride in her gardening, generously sharing her knowledge with others. For 25 years, she regularly attended weekly bingo gatherings with friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed bunco, visiting the casino, and traveling with close friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Romine; her birth father, James Lakin; her mother, Lorene Meehan; and her father, Cyril Meehan, along with many beloved family members and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Aldridge and husband Don; her son, Greg Romine and wife Christi; her grandchildren, Jennifer Flaugher (Corey), Zach Butler (Harlie), Devyn Romine (Emily), Austyn Romine (Ashlynn), and Syvanna Woods (Colton); and her great-grandchildren, Bobby Ray Butler, Zander Romine, Skyla Colgan-Romine, Weston Woods, Maverick Butler, Evelyn Woods, Zealand Romine, and Sebastian Colgan-Romine, along with many dear friends and extended family members.
Carolyn will be remembered for her kindness, her enduring friendships, and the care she showed to those around her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
