Mark Kinnard
A Tribute To Mom from her son Mark,Charlene was born in Creston, Iowa to Calvin and Meta Caywood.
She was the oldest of 4 children.
She was preceded in death, by her parents and her siblings.Charlene’s journey through life, took her from Iowa, to Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Belgium and back to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then finally to Claremore, Oklahoma where she was a resident of Autumn Wood.
Charlene was married to Carroll Kinnard, for 23 years. She married Jack Nommensen in 1975 and they were together for 42 years, before Jacks passing on December 21, 2017.Charlene had two sons, 2 step daughters, 2 stepsons and numerous grand children.Charlene’s life was a focus of understanding that each day was a gift from God. She strived to be the example of love that God would want her to be; always active and involved in her church community. Charlene gave willingly of her time, energy and strength. She would take on any project and see it through to the finish. She had the singing voice of an angel.Charlene was my Mom and to know her was to know she was always worried about something. Most of all she worried about how God saw her and if she was doing what God had intended for her to do.
Her priorities in life were her God and her family. She knew that some time in the future when all was said and done she would be able to see the light of God and ask “ How Did I Do” ?
I feel certain that her Family and her friends, as well as all the people she met along her journey in life would say with a smile,
“ You were the perfect example of love! God would be Proud!”
