Charlene M. Nommensen, age 87 passed from this life May 30, 2018, in Claremore, Oklahoma. Charlene was born May 8, 1931, to Calvin and Meta (Gades) Caywood in Estherville, Iowa.Following her marriage to Carroll T. Kinnard of 22 years, Charlene married John Diem Nommensen August, 1975, in Colorado.Charlene left behind children: Mark Kinnard and wife, Kathy, and Terry Kinnard and wife, Kellie: stepchildren: H. Gayle Neal, Amanda J. Teegarden and husband, Mark, David Nommensen and wife, Becky, and Andrew Nommensen and wife, Debbie; grandchildren: Kara, Kelly, Lisa, Natalie, Laura, Sarah, and John; and 8 great-grandchildren.Charlene is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jon Diem Nommensen; and two sisters: Christell Long and Yvonne Stearns.A celebration of life memorial will be held 9:30 A.M., Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Joy Lutheran Church, 9940 S. Yale Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74137.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joy Lutheran Mission Endowment Fund, (Link: www.joylutherantulsa.org), or donations to Autumn Wood (Activity Department). The family gratefully acknowledges the angels at Autumn Wood Skilled Dementia Care in Claremore OK, who lovingly cared for Charlene.
