I remember a story that Charlie and Terry used to share about their first trip to Ireland. Charlie stopped a bartender in his tracks when he ordered a red beer. The bartender had no idea what that was and had to ask. the bartender could not understand what he was talking about, so Charlie said bring me a can of tomato juice and a lager. The whole staff stopped what they were doing to watch Charlie add tomato juice to his beer. As they watched in disbelief Charlie offered to let them try it, only one tried it and did not like it at ALL. Charlie and Terry laughed at this memory on many occasions on how to stun an Irish bartender. Charlie will be greatly missed.

Charlie’s sister & I were best friends growing up so I was at their house a lot. Debbie & I got Charlie to play ball one time with us. I think it so us girls could boss him around to run across the street to get the ball. That didn’t last long. I remember another time when Charlie, Debbie & I were walking to school & Charlie did or said something teasing me. I swung whatever I was carrying & hit him in the stomach. I temporarily felt bad until brother & sister started laughing. He was fun to be around.
