Charles "Charlie" Ray Flanagan's Obituary
Charles “Charlie” Ray Flanagan, age 60, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed peacefully from this life with his lifelong friend Todd Dearhamer by his side on June 25, 2026, in his hometown. He was born on August 15, 1965, in Broken Arrow to Bobby Ray and Bobbie Lea (Mongold) Flanagan.
Charlie dedicated many years of his life as an electric motor mechanic, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic, hands-on skill, and dependable nature. In addition to his civilian career, Charlie honorably served his country in the United States Army from November 1990 until July 2005. During his military service, he was proud to serve in Desert Storm during the Gulf War, exemplifying courage and commitment to his nation.
Charlie had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and cherished the time he spent hunting deer in the mountains of Montana. Above all, he valued the moments shared with his family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, stories, and love. He also held a special place in his heart for his hunting companions, Mike Jones, Ronnie Jones, Cody Jones, and Truman Crawford, with whom he shared many adventures.
Charlie is lovingly remembered by his mother, Bobbie Flanagan; sister, Debbie Tribble and husband Rodney; his brother, Robert Flanagan; and a large and devoted family of nieces and nephews: Heather Hughes (Bink Knox), April Padgett (Gary Robinson), Lonnie Blankenship, Garrett Tribble (Jenifer), and Joshua Tribble (Rebecca). He also leaves behind numerous great-nieces and great-nephews: Blake Thompson, Hunter Knox, Bella Knox, Jaden Billue, Emily Billue, Cooper Padgett, Ella Blankenship, Milo Blankenship, Oliver Blankenship, Max Tribble, Jennasyn Tribble, Emberly Tribble, and Acyn Tribble, as well as many cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Flanagan; his paternal grandparents, John and Dovie Flanagan; and his maternal grandparents, William and Nora Mongold.
Charlie will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of family, his service to his country, and his appreciation for the simple joys of life. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Wagoner, Oklahoma with committal service will follow at 12:30 PM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
