Charlie was a sweet memory from my childhood. He was a special part of our FBC Elk City family. I believe he and my daddy, Dave Elliott, served on several search committees together. I missed this family when they moved! Prayers for strength and comfort to his sweet family. Jana Smithey
I remember having holiday gatherings at Granma Heckes house and all the brother in laws playing dominoes and teasing each other. I am so thankful for the week I got to spend at Lillian and Charles house when I excepted a job in Tulsa 5 years ago. The job didn't last, but my memories with them did. It was so great getting to know them better and Charles made breakfast for me every morning.
So very sorry to hear of Charlies passing. He has always been such a great neighbor, and he will certainly be missed. We will be praying for all of you who love him so much. But we rejoice for him in his final destination!

My condolences to the family. I remember Mr. Hulbert as a nice kind man. He was seen at several St.Francis locations. To the family some encouraging words that no doubt will bring some hope for the future. When I was four, Santa Claus burst into my living room. We didn't have a chimney, so he figured out just exactly what to do. He was bigger than life. He brought TOYS! Years later, I found out is was Charlie Hulbert. We went to church with his family at First Baptist Church, Elk City. Lillian taught my brother at school. Fabulous family. Fabulous man.
