A good and faithful servant earned his wings yesterday. I met Charles (or "Dad", as he so graciously allowed me to call him) just a few short months before my own father passed away in 2006. Charles was a comforting source of wisdom and faith, and he welcomed me into his family like a second daughter! Whenever I'd visit from Florida, Charles and I spent hours watching Les Feldick and talking about the Lord. And, oh boy did he know the Word! If there's one thing I'm truly certain of, it's that Charles knew, beyond the shadow of a doubt, where he was going when he closed his eyes in this world. I'm very saddened by his loss, and my heart aches for those left behind to grieve, especially Linda, Robert, Charlotte and her girls, and my Frankie. But, deep inside I'm actually grinning, because I can just imagine the joy on Charles' face when he came face-to-face with his precious Lord and Savior! I'm grateful for the gift of having known such a man of faith and integrity, and I'll carry his memory in my heart until the day we met again in Heaven! May the blessings of peace and health be with everyone who was lucky and blessed to know him!
