So saddened to hear of the passing of my only uncle. My mom, Ruth Nelson, Charles baby sister, and I were planning a trip to visit him and Helen when we found out on the internet he had passed away in April. Many times he would go out of his way and come visit me in New Mexico and my mom in Phoenix. Several years ago we traveled to visit him and Helen. My cousin, Jim showed me how to shoot his bow in Uncle Charles front yard, neither of them told me the bow would kick-back. I have a picture of Uncle Charles pointing to the cut above my eye and me pointing to a perfect bullseye. Uncle Charles was a very compassionate man who was dedicated to his family and their well being. I Love You, Till we meet again Angela

I was preparing a trip to Coweta to takr my mother, Ruth to see her big brother in May. So saddened to see his obituary on the net. Uncle Charles was a compassionate man, an Uncle that every one would want to have. He traveled out of his way many times to come and visit me in New Mexico and my MOM in Phoenix. On a trip we took to visit him about 5 years ago he wanted to show me how to shoot a bow. He didn't warn me about the recoil, I got cut above my eye but I also got a bullseye. I still have a picture of Uncle Charles pointing to my eyebrow all bloody and me pointing to the bullseye!! He was so proud of his family, only wish we could have been there to say SEE YA LATER to a GREAT MAN!!!
