Charlie and Wanda were life long friends dating back to the 1950's at View Acres Baptist Church in Berryhill (outside of Tulsa).
Charlie got a big bang out of kidding me about my wife making homemade biscuits out of Bisquick.
Charlie was a dear friend and I'll miss talking to him on the phone.

Charlie was a very God loving man. He was always so fun to be around. I remember him more from Eastwood and Bruce and Carla. It was an honor to know him. It is so precious to see a warrior has gone home.

Charlie was a wonderful example of how a Christian should be. Jean and I met Charlie and Wanda at Arrow Heights Church. He was a jokester that brought laughter to any group. Charlie always brought new life to the men's breakfast when Pat faithfully brought him. We lost a friend when Jesus took this man of faith.

Wherever Charlie was, it sounded like the opening of Cheers, where everybody knows your name: "John!" He was consistently glad to greet us, tease us, catch up on our families, and bless us. He is precious. How great it will be to be greeted by Charlie when we cross over.
Charlie and Wanda Leake were very special friends when I was a teen ager. We attended View Acres Baptist Church together. My life is richer in Christ because of these two people.

Charlie and Wanda were extra special members of Arrow Heights Baptist Church serving our Lord there and making many friends. I am not sure I could ever measure up as his pastor to Tom Elliff who was his pastor at Eastwood. He loved Tom dearly. After Wanda died, later It was my privilege to married Charlie and Pat Brady. There are many sweet, precious memories which Margaret and I will cherish in our years of knowing Charlie !!
"Suffering with satisfaction." That was my grandpa's answer to "How are you?" He ended every conversation with "God bless you." Thank you, Grandpa. A blessing from your forefathers is a true blessing indeed!!
