Charlie F. Leake's Obituary
Charlie Francis Leake, 92 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, January 14, 2021 in a Tulsa hospital. He was born January 2, 1929 in Vinita, Oklahoma to his parents, William Irvin Leake and Dona Kay Roberts Leake. He married Wanda Livingston who preceded him in death in 2005 and then later married Patricia Ann Brady who survives him.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Leake of Wilburton, Oklahoma; four children, Karen Fogaley and her husband Marshall of Owasso, Oklahoma, Charlene Lawrence of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Janice K. Leake of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Bruce Leake and his wife Carla of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Paul Brady and his wife Theresa of Wilburton, Oklahoma and Kimberly Williams and her husband Mitch of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three siblings, Donald Leake and his wife Adele, Faye Baker and Jerry Leake; twelve grandchildren, Melissa Fogaley, Amanda Hanrahan, Hunter Fogaley, Emily Cunneen, Lauren Kimbrough, Brooke Kononchuk, Erika Skaggs, Jason Engstrom, Dana Leake, Stephanie Stone, Joey Leake and Julie Kitchens; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Wanda L. Leake and nine siblings.
Charlie met Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savious when he was 21 years old at a Billy Graham Crusade, that he did not want to attend. He agreed to attend to please his lovely wife, Charlie never met a stranger and he never missed an opportunity to tell what Jesus had done for him. He always began a conversation with the important questions, "Have you met the Lord? Do you know the Good News? Do you know where you will spend eternity? Do you know Jesus?"
Charlie was a patriot that loved the United States and served in the Air Force as soon as he was old enough to enlist.
Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Cliff Richard of South Tulsa Baptist Church officiating.
