Kamm, Chester's Obituary
Chester Fredrick Kamm, 74, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 1st, 2025.
Born on August 6th, 1950, in El Centro, California, Chester spent his early years in the Imperial Valley, where he earned his associate degree in law enforcement. He proudly served his community as a sheriff before meeting the love of his life, Kathryn, in the 1980s. The two were married on July 21st, 1990, and later moved to Oklahoma in 1996, where Chester began a new chapter working as a thermal sprayer for Southwest United Industries. He remained with the company for 20 years.
A natural tinkerer and craftsman, Chester had a deep love for working with his hands—leatherwork, metalwork, and building detailed models were some of his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed a good Oktoberfest when he could make it and was a lifelong fan of the original Star Trek, always ready to beam up into the worlds that sparked his imagination.
Chester was the son of the late Robert Fredrick Kamm and Juanita Katie Nelson. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn Kamm. He is survived by his daughter Cassandra and son-in-law Chris, his son Joe and daughter-in-law Allison, along with 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who will carry his stories and stubborn charm forward.
A celebration of Chester’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by the family.
