Mrs Williams was one of those people from my childhood always remembered with a smile on my face. I remember the wonderful birthday party she gave for Faye’s eight birthday – I still have the announcement. In later years, after my retirement in 1996, Diane and I lived in Ackerman for awhile and travelled. Mrs Williams called each week to get information to put in the Plaindealer. We are grateful God blessed this Christian woman with a long life to spend with her her fine family.
Mrs. Clara was a special lady. My Dad, Chris Padilla, worked for Mr. Walton many years ago. They were both so good to my parents. Prayers to your family.

Dear Joy, Lona and Faye,
What a wonderful mother you had for all these years!! She was loved by all who knew her. I spent many hours at your home in Ackerman just down Chester Street. She was always so pleasant and kind when a huge group of girls passed through her home! I don’t know how she did it, but I never heard her complain.
She was always taking loving care of Little Roy as we were practicing majorette routines or rolling our hair or polishing our boots.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you celebrate her memory. Love to each of the “Williams girls”!!
Joy, Faye and Lona,
We are so sad to learn of Aunt Clara’s passing, but are rejoicing in the fact that she is free of all the difficulties of this world and enbraced in the loving arms of our Savior. I have so many fond childhood memories of your home and the big back yard garden, which was like being on a farm to me! Your Mom was so good to me and has been so good to our boys. We all love their Great Aunt Clara.
You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love you all,
Guy
Loved my sweet Aunt Clara. She was so kind and thoughtful. Always let me roam in her house looking at her many collections. I still have post cards that she sent to me from her many trips abroad. She will always be a happy memory to me and Tommy loved her barbecued green beans!
