Mr. Lawrence, or "Lawrence" as he always had us call him, was the first barber to cut my brother's and my hair. We grew up looking forward to seeing Lawrence, telling him stories about school and receiving his hug and two pieces of bubble gum on each visit. He was never without a smile and a kind word. His bees in the barber shop window kept us highly entertained. He saw us grow from birth to Junior High School when we moved to South Tulsa. I have taken my children by his barber shop at Admiral and Harvard and told them of the wonderful visits we had with Lawrence. He was a great man and a tremendous encourager. We shall be praying for his family. I am sure he touched the lives of thousands of young boys who grew into fine young men, in part, because of the kindness Lawrence imparted into them.Dr. Craig N.
