Clifton M. Lawrence's Obituary
Clifton M. Lawrence LAWRENCE-C.M.(MONROE), 91, of Tulsa, has passed from this life. C.M. was born in Optimus, Arkansas to C.J. and Bernice(Martin) Lawrence. He graduated from Sand Springs High School where he excelled in athletics as a wrestler. He later attended Barber School and worked for 37 years as a barber and owner of the Hamby Barber Shop at Admiral and Harvard. He loved gardening and was an avid bee keeper for many years. C.M. was a member of the Garnet Road Baptist Church where he was involved with the Roadster’s and taught a Sunday School Class. C.M. was preceded in death by his wife Pauline (Polly) Lawrence in May of 2007. He is survived by children; Lela Fite and her husband Kevin of Tulsa, Patty Mullins and her husband Larry of Moore, Ok, Mike Lawrence and his wife Betty of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Michelle Akers, Nichole Gibson, Michael Lawrence, Melinda Nowlin, Lorrie Rose and Michael Mullins; 14 Great-grand-children, 1 sister Maxine Powell of Tulsa, and 1 brother Jim Lawrence of Plano TX. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, February 14, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. A luncheon reception will follow the service in the Floral Haven Family Center (252-2518).
