Curtis Allen Lutz's Obituary
Curtis Allen Lutz was born on April 1st, 1934 in Elysian, Minnesota. He was the son of Reverend Paul Lutz and Olga (Cornelius) Lutz. He was raised in Iowa. Curt passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was 87 years of age.
He married the former Catherine Nell Hard on June 14, 1956. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
After serving in the Army, Curt was chief engineer for several radio stations in Iowa before accepting a position with Harris Broadcasting Corporation in Quincy, Illinois. He remained employed as a top salesman with Harris until his retirement in 1997.
His interest and talent in restoring and repairing antique radios was a passion that he enjoyed throughout the late 1990’s and into 2021.
Curt was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; daughters, Valerie (Keith) Chenoweth and Annette (David) Moran; grandsons, Daniel (Elizabeth) Miller, Christopher (Kellie) Miller, and Brennan Moran; great- grandchildren, Jack, Liliana, Evelyn, and Samuel Miller; siblings Charles, Fredric, Lyle, Eugene Lutz and Paulette Kutschat.
Curtis was honored at a private Memorial Service and will be buried in the Veteran’s section of the Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow Oklahoma.
