The service was beautiful and exquisitely sentimental. There wasn't a dry eye in the chapel. Every person that spoke did my Dad proud. He deserves every bit of the love and emotion that filled that room, and I for one, felt honored to be a part of such a loving tribute to an American hero, a protective husband and father, and a doting grandfather. Dad will be loved and missed for the rest of our days and I am grateful for our newest guardian angel. I love you Daddy. Rest in Peace, you will forever be in my thoughts and heart… Fly high with the Angels and our Lord.

Dan and Linda are both wonderful people! Dan was always making sure our neighborhood was safe and was right there to let you know if he saw anything suspicious or out of place. He was so good that one time I was unloading groceries and had just brought a load in my house and sat it down and by the time I got to the front door he had already shut my trunk and was there to inform me that I had left it open. It didn't matter if it was open garage doors, suspicious cars, flower eating rabbits or hole digging armadillo's, Dan would do his best to protect and serve all our homes. Likewise, in his service in the military, Dan was instrumental in protecting and serving our country. Dan was always a bright spot in my day when I would see him. He always made me laugh and I enjoyed listening to his stories about his life in the military. In fact I could probably recite them ?? There is a huge whole left in our neighborhood and in our hearts without Dan.
