He was my fav great grandpa
We used to call him Mr. Wonderful. He was so funny. I am his great granddaughter.
I second Kenny's sentiments about growing up and decades of having David as a role model and close family friend... closest thing to a second dad that I could've had. My love, thoughts and prayers to Nancy and the rest of the family and I know David and my mom are visiting in heaven and patiently waiting on Nancy and my dad to join them to continue sharing memories of camping trips, chancel choir antics, square dancing... and more than we knew about.
We will always remember David as one of the most friendly and loving persons we have known. David could make anyone feel comfortable whether they were a baby or 90 years old! He sincerely loved people..that was his gift from God.
He believed in service to the Lord and was a member of the Chancel Choir at Asbury .It was there that not only his talent but sense of humor almost got Ed Lenfesty, Chuck and David put in a corner for their antics and laughter more than once!
We loved him. He will be missed. Chuck and Vivian Kennedy.
Uncle David was truly Mr. Wonderful. He always made sure I had a smile on my face when I was around him.
David had a sense of humor. He was pleasant to be around. It was nice just setting around or watching a football game with him. He was an OU fan.
How can I sum up decades of seeing Mr Wonderful and Miss Nancy display the love of God for others? David was so fast with the witty comeback, it inspired me to practice for the next time I saw him and I never came close. He was a great example of a man of God, I am blessed to to count him as one of my role models.
