David was a wonderful co-worker of mine at the Y in Norman. Always joking, always making us all laugh, always bragging on his students. He and I talked music a lot. When he got new records we would talk about his new finds! Every time I walk into the Y pool area, you will be on my mind, David. Miss you, man.

Dave was my motivation for swimming.
He was very gentle and caring. He made me feel special for who I am.
My favorite memory with him was
Receiving medals for events. At that time he made me feel like I was Katie Ledecky. He was a concept in my life.
He made me and my brother laugh.
He didn’t make me feel like I was the worst when I messed up. I will never forget him.
