I remember being just a little kid seeing David for the first time. He towered over every other adult in the room, it wasn't something i had ever seen at that age. I understood right away where his nickname "Foot" came from.Patti and David brought their family up to Minnesota to perform a mock wedding for Patti's parents, my grandmother and grandfather. Foot was the pastor who delivered the vows and he did an awesome job, everybody was smiles all aroundMy condolences to Davids family and i know we don't see each other much but he's a man I'll never forget.
your so funny jerry ha ha ha
Trudy Mens9 days agoï??Before the kidney failure, Dave was employed, full time , as a Transmission Specialist. Dialysis took 3 days out of his work week. Eventually, his wife was forced to stay home from her job to take him to his many appointments. Nearly all of their income was gone. SSI and Medicare became their only means of survival. A very meager way to live. The state of Oklahoma doesn't see kidney failure as a valid reason to give aide of any kind to a family. Food came from family and churches. Pride becomes non-existent when you are desperate. My sincere Thank you goes out to all who found it in their hearts to help put Dave to rest . You are truly amazing. His journey through hell is over as well as the hell my sister's hell in trying to keep him alive.Sherry Hoffman Voight10 days agoï??Dave was a great man, I met him & a few other good people, it was great pleasure meeting all of them & having them in our lives, even though we lost a few good souls, but not from our hearts, and Patti is like a sister to me, very kind loving & warm hearted person, as her sister, Trudy & her hubby! They'll always be forever in our hearts, and lives!Mistie Abbott10 days agoï??I just wanted to say that I will definitely be praying for all of you! Great pictures, Dave will surely be missed by many, so many loved him as family, he's made great memories, that's for sure, with his loved ones and numerous friends! May he forever rest in Paradise!
My name is Laura and I am Sherry and Steves's daughter. I just wanted to add a memory that I have a man I only knew as "Foot" I was 10 years old and my youngest sister was just born. Foot came over to see the baby and when he picked her up, I was so scared he might break her she was so tiny and he was soooo big! But he held her in the palm of one hand and gently cooed at her. He was the gentlest man I remember. And I will forever have that image of him in my head and heart. My condolences to you Patti and the rest of the family.
