It is with deeply heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis Kay Howard, affectionately known as "Denny", a beloved husband, father, and friend. Denny was born in Vinita, Oklahoma, on August 30, 1946, to parents Glen and Read Obituary
I got to know Denny coaching his son Zach in youth baseball. He was a quiet person but one of my favorite parents I ever knew. He loved his wife Sheree and son Zach so much. When he did talk, he always loved to brag on Zach. He was very proud of working at American Airlines and his accomplishments as a great baseball player himself. I also remember he was a big fan of Elvis. On one of my toughest years coaching as my dad had just died, he was such a strong positive influence on my life. I will miss him and Sheree and Zach are in my prayers.
Denny was an outstanding athlete at Tulsa Central High School starring in football, basketball, and his favorite baseball. He was named the all-city catcher of Tulsa and starred in college at Northeastern A and M in Miami, Oklahoma.
He became an excellent carpenter tutored by the best, our father. During his professional life, he went to work everyday and labored intensely to support his family.
As brothers, we have always been close. I am glad that he is at rest and not suffering from the pain of Parkinson's disease. I miss him and will love him forever.
