Dennis "Denny" Kay Howard's Obituary
It is with deeply heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis Kay Howard, affectionately known as "Denny", a beloved husband, father, and friend. Denny was born in Vinita, Oklahoma, on August 30, 1946, to parents Glen and Maydene (Cox) Howard. He departed this world from Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 19, 2024. He touched the lives of many with his kind spirit and warmth. He will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
From a young age, Denny was a passionate athlete. He excelled in baseball, basketball, and football, but it was on the baseball diamond where his true passion shone. Denny played for the Lowell Pirates, the Central Braves and always cherished playing summer ball. He attended Lowell Elementary and Junior High before graduating from Tulsa Central High School in 1965.
Denny attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri, before eventually choosing to return to Tulsa. He worked for several construction companies, until ultimately finding his calling as a skilled carpenter, dedicating many years to American Airlines before retiring.
On December 12, 1993, Dennis married Sheree McIntosh. Together, they shared over 30 years of love, laughter, companionship, and adventure. To this union, Denny and Sheree were blessed with a son, Zachary, who brought immense joy to Denny's life.
Dennis had a profound appreciation for nature and enjoyed fishing any chance he could. He also loved bowling in his free time, embracing the camaraderie and joy it brought.
Denny leaves behind a trail of cherished memories and a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Sheree Howard; son, Zachary Howard; son, Scott Howard; daughter, Amy Roush; brother, Gary Howard and countless friends and family members who were touched by his gentle spirit.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Denny's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Floral Haven's Rose Chapel, located at 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012, with Pastor James Lacey officiating.

Anyone wishing to send flowers for the service may do so by calling Floral Designs by Floral Haven at (918) 459-1525. Any independent florists may deliver flowers directly to Floral Haven Funeral Home by 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in order for them to be set out and properly displayed for the service.
A reception will be held once the chapel service concludes from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Floral Haven’s Family Center, where refreshments will be provided. Denny's family would like to warmly extend an invitation to anyone wishing to attend the reception in order to continue in fellowship and in the sharing of memories. The Floral Haven Family Center is also located on site at Floral Haven Funeral Home: 6420 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
