Don Volkl's Obituary
Don Ervin Volkl, (a.k.a. D.E., Big ‘in), 78, of Tulsa, OK, went home to Jesus November 17, 2019. He was born February 6, 1941 in Purdy, MO to J.R. and Gussie (Carlson) Volkl. Don transferred to Tulsa in 1960 where he was a brakeman/conductor at Frisco Railroad. This is also where he met the love of his life, Patsy. Don was then drafted to the U.S. Army where he served for 2 years. Don and Patsy were married April of 1965. Four years later they had their son, Donnie, and four years after that had their daughter, Kimberly. Don is survived by his wife, Pat Volkl, children; Donnie Volkl, Kim Owens and her husband Dave Owens, grandchildren; Tyler Volkl (June) and his wife Vanessa, Tayler Volkl (Pete), Teagan Volkl (Teago), Madison Owens (Baby Dumplins), Ike Owens (Buster) and Kennedy Owens (Princess) and other loving extended family and friends. The day of celebration will be November 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven. Pastor Milt Olsen will officiate.
