Donald Dean Hill's Obituary
Donald Dean Hill was born on Feb 12, 1936 in Erick, Oklahoma to Fred Hayden and
Jewell Agnes Wells Hill. He was the youngest of 8 children. He passed away on May
29, 2026 at the age of 90. After high school, Don enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served his country for 4
years. He completed training in, Instructor Repairman, Tech Instructor, Flight Instructor
(ATC), and Leadership Center of Excellence. After his honorable discharge, Don came
back to Oklahoma where he met his wife Lois and the two were married on November
14, 1959 in Tulsa, OK. Together, they built their home in Bixby, Oklahoma where they
raised their two sons, Donnie and Todd.
In Don's younger day's, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle's. He has always had a love for
airplanes especially the aircrafts of the WWII era. He loved them so much he started
building one in his garage.
Don worked for American Airlines where he was an Aviation Maintenance Technician
until he had to retire due to health issues.
On weekends he loved gathering up his family and going to the lake where he would do
some fishing and relax. He also enjoyed hunting, and anything to do with airplanes as
well as coaching soccer for his son's team. Don also had a passion for wood working.
Sawdust made him happy, almost as much as his love for sweets and coffee.
