Your favorite grand girl was there today. She wouldn't have missed it. Jared too. They sure loved their PaPa. They have many memories of you to reflect on. I'll keep the same traditions going that you and I always did. But it will be different without you. I love you. And now I miss you. I'm used to you being right beside me.
I will always remember playing cards and games with Uncle Don at family gatherings. He was always willing to let me play Flight Simulator and other games on his computer, which was a rare thing to have back in the day! Robin, we have you in our thoughts. I will always be grateful for the times he visited Dwight when he had the widow-maker heart surgery and the times the four of us got together. I was honored to know Don & I’m thankful for his service to our country & his love for Robin. He sacrificed a lot. He was a proud man who fought hard through a lot of hard things. Proverbs says, “The memory of the righteous is a blessing…” We have all been blessed by knowing & spending time with Don. Rest in peace, Don. We’ll see you again soon.
I hope you and Annie have found each other. That would be a beautiful reunion. You will have to tell me all about it later. I just wander around the house. I don’t know what to do. I'm used to taking care of you and we've always been together. You are my hero, my protector, my provider, my friend and my husband. You took on some damaged goods with me. You were so gentle with me and understanding. You loved me through it all. We made a lifetime of memories. And I will lean on those now and until I take my last breath. I know you are at peace. Happy. Whole. No pain. No suffering. Watch over me. Wait for me. I love you so.
