Donald Edward Oliver's Obituary
Donald Edward Oliver, age 86, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on June 19, 1939, in Tulsa, he was the son of Stanley McCormick and Genevieve Elizabeth (Meyer) Oliver. Tulsa was always home for Donald, and he carried a deep affection for the community and the people who shaped his life.
Donald spent his career as a mechanic with Flight Safety, where he took great pride in his work and the friendships he built along the way. Outside of his profession, he enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him joy—most notably his impressive Kentucky Derby glass collection and the quiet companionship of the horses and dogs belonging to his neighbors. Though he didn't have pets of his own, he found comfort and connection in those visits.
He is survived by his niece, Mona Johnson; nephews, David Oliver and Keith Oliver; sisters-in-law, Ruby Oliver and Linda Oliver; and many nieces and nephews whom he lovingly considered his own children. Their lives were brightened by his steady presence, gentle humor, and unwavering affection.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Genevieve Oliver; his brothers, Kenneth Oliver, Gene Oliver, and John Oliver; nephews Kenneth Oliver, Jr. and his wife Lynne, Michael Oliver, and Shawn Oliver; and his niece, Christie Wells. Though he endured many losses, he carried each memory with tenderness and strength.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, where family and friends will gather to honor a life lived with quiet kindness, loyalty, and love.
Donald will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew him.
