Donny was the catcher for our 1955 NE Tulsa Youth baseball team, the Owen Cardinals, which went undefeated. He made pitching easy for Basil and me. I lost track of Donny after the 1956 season, but have always thought of him every year when baseball season starts.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Don is that I never, ever saw or heard him angry. How many people can you say that of? Not many. This photo of him smiling is just the way he was!
