Our fondest memories of Doris was stopping by Tulsa for many years to visit with her on our vacations out west. She was married to my cousin, Aldean, and they visited with our family many times in Florida. We always loved their visits. When my mother was terminally ill, Doris, Dan, and his sister came to visit mother in Hilliard, FL. Later in life, Doris was really protective of Aldean because he had stomach problems. She watched what he ate, but when her back was turned, Aldean would sneak a forbidden morsel. Although we didn't see her every year, I would call her when anything happened in the family that would be interest to her, and we would literally talk for hours. She was a jewel, and we will miss her very much.
