Family get-togethers were often and never ending with kids, their friends, in-laws and out-laws. There was always room and plenty of food for one more. She always expected and cooked for an army, loving everyone who showed up.
She will be fondly remembered for her love of gardening, moving plants and flowers from one location to the other and then back again and working outside until she was completely worn out!
For the last six years, she lived in her own apartment at Woodland Terrace where she met and enjoyed many wonderful new friends. She loved bible study and the Sunday morning services, and still stayed in touch with her old church family from St. James Presbyterian in Glenpool, OK. Her church family and friends went back to South Park and Darlington Avenue Church of God days.
Maxine/ Mimi will be missed dearly by family and friends!
The Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 7th, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
