Dorothy Ann Gray's Obituary
Dorothy Ann Voth Gray, age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 13, 2016. She was born December 28, 1935 to Peter and Clara Voth in Kremlin, Oklahoma. She was baptized at the age of ten in the Mennonite Brethren Church. Dorothy attended school in Kremlin and upon graduation studied at Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas. In 1960 she moved to Kansas City, Missouri to work for Skelly Oil Company, where she met her husband, Gene Gray. They were married January 26, 1963 in Kansas City, where they resided for almost three years, then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1965. Dorothy was an executive secretary for Skelly/ Getty/ Texaco, retiring after 32 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ernest Voth and Robert Voth, sister-in-law Carol Voth, brother-in-law Richard Gray, sister-in-law Jane Gray, and nephew Danny Voth. She is survived by her loving husband, Gene Gray, of the home; son, Michael, and his wife, Eva, of Tulsa; stepson, Mark, and his wife, Shirley, of Broken Arrow; and three grandchildren: Hannah Gray, of Tulsa; Miranda Jones, of Jenks; and Stuart Gray, of Broken Arrow; brother John Voth and his wife MaryAnn of Kremlin; sister-in-law Virgie Voth of Kremlin; and nieces and nephews Tom Voth, Susan Voth Kilmer, Karen Voth Lemley, Donna Voth Jost, Dean Voth, Janet Voth Streck, Diane Voth Fosmire, Gary Voth, Hal Gray, Tom Gray, John Gray, and Cynthia Gray. Dorothy enjoyed outdoor life, camping, hiking, and canoeing. When she was well, she eagerly anticipated quarterly retirement luncheons with Texaco retirees and monthly birthday gatherings with friends from Skelly Drive. She and Gene enjoyed traveling the world and cheering at OU home games for over 30 years. She was a member of Skelly Drive Baptist Church, and she loved her church family. After retirement, she volunteered one day a week in the church office and enjoyed helping with vacation Bible school until her health would no longer permit it.
