Doy Raines was my first Sunday school teacher as a born-again Christian,1973. My husband, WILEY, and I greatly benefited by his leadership and his deep dedicated study into the Word of God. He was a gifted teacher with the ability to teach us the Word, how to study it, and understand a practical knowledge of its application of those precepts into daily living. He helped transform our lives. Both Doy and Carol were our mentors and exemplary examples of walking in love, truth, and integrity. Their commitment and love for each other was inspiring. They were our friends and I have precious memories of family get-togethers, camping, and trips riding our motorcycles, often just to get an ice cream at Braums in Claremore. Through Wiley’s many surgeries and long-term recoveries along with all the difficulties that followed, Doy was one who was there to help us. Doy and Carol played guitars and sang together many gospel songs in their living room and at church. I cannot express completely what Doy and Carol Raines has meant to me and my family. I am so grateful for their input into my life. They are my heroes of Faith. I cherish their memories. I’m so glad they are not just a part of my past but also my future. I love them so very much.
To Annette & Janette: My heart and prayers are with you during this time of great loss. I will continue to pray for you and your families. God bless you all and comfort your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus our Lord.
