Edwin Eugene Luce's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edwin Eugene Luce, 81, of Broken Arrow, OK on November 12, 2024.
Ed was born on June 5th, 1943, in Petersburg, TX to J.W. and Fern (Vaughn) Luce. He grew up farming in Floyd, New Mexico, and was raised in a large family of four brothers and three sisters.
Ed served proudly in the Navy on a destroyer, the John W. Weeks. He embraced the rigor and camaraderie of military life. Following his service, he embarked on a career as a mechanical engineer at Texas Instruments. He was successful in many other business endeavors including an industrial supply company and a commercial landscape company. His technical skills and creative vision were evident in every project he undertook.
Known for his love of sailing, motorcycles and fast cars, Ed never missed an opportunity to share his passion with his friends and family. He was a firecracker, always the first to lend a hand and quick to bring joy and laughter to any gathering. There is nothing that Ed cherished more than his family.
He leaves behind his wife, Barbara Luce of Broken Arrow; children, Dee Anne Cate (Tom) of Tulsa, OK, Damon Bedell (Lindsay) of Tulsa, OK and Kristen Luce of Okmulgee, OK; grandchildren, Olive and Calder Branham, Hank and Hutch Bedell and sister Darlene Richardson, of Hereford, TX and a host of nieces and nephews.
