Elmeretta Sharon Snelson's Obituary
Elmeretta ‘Rettie’ Sharon (Beadles) Cassity Snelson of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on May 5, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born August 16, 1941, in Mulberry, Kansas to Elmer H. and Magrada (Cook) Beadles. Rettie married the love of her life Jerry Ernest Cassity on August 10, 1956, and this union continued until his passing April 25, 2004. Rettie’s sales career started as a little girl when she would catch crawdads from the ditch and sell them to the lady down the street. As an adult she was the sales queen at Foley’s and Beall’s. She held the top sales position many times. However, she loved shopping so much, her paycheck would go right back to Foley’s in new clothes purchases for her family from all the sales racks. She was also a caregiver for the elderly with Public Partnership LLC and worked with Floral Haven in the family center. Rettie was a woman of great faith who attended church at New Beginnings in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where she loved playing the piano. Her infectious smile was known throughout the Sapulpa community. Rettie was all about family and she loved “Big”. Rettie loved having the grandkids stay overnight, and playing games, including Skipbo, especially when she ‘kind of’ cheated. She loved playing music and singing with the family. Her grandkids always said that Nana floated like a cork in her pristine pool and thought everyone else should know how too. On September 26th 2015, she married Arnol Snelson until her passing . Rettie was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Earnest Cassity, her parents Elmer Beadles and Magrada (Cook) Beadles as well as her siblings James, Sylvia, Lois, Margie, Juanita Irene ‘Renie’, Lela, Attis, and Allie.
