Erna Rock's Obituary
Erna Lina Rock, was born February 6, 1929 in Schainbach Germany, and passed away on December 19, 2020 at the age of 91, in Allen Texas.
Erna spent her years as a homemaker caring for her husband, her home and raising her 5 children. Some of her hobbies included, gardening, sewing, shopping for bargains, refinishing furniture and trying to feed anyone who walked into her home.
She met her husband, Curtis Rock, while he was serving in the U.S. Army and stationed in Germany. They were married June 28, 1955 in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany and shared 33 years together. Erna came to the United States in 1956 and lived in Oklahoma for 63 years. She proudly received her United States Citizenship in 1993. In 2019, at the age of 90, she moved to a retirement home in Texas.
Erna was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Rock, her parents, Leonhard and Anna Hanselmann and her brother, Gerhard Hanselmann.
Erna is survived by her children, their spouses and two brothers:
Wayne & Denise Rock of Plano, TX and their child Brendan,
Curtis & Janet Rock of Richardson, TX and their children David & Michelle,
Walter & Susan Rock of Round Rock, TX and their children Stephanie & Kevin,
Margaret & Jonathan Ripley of Broken Arrow, OK and their children Michael & Jennifer,
Eric & Sharron Rock of Plano, TX and their children Logan & Dylan.
Kurt Hanselmann and Rolf Hanselmann of Engelhardshausen Germany
She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
Her remains will be laid to rest next to her husband during a private family service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma..
