Rest well Uncle Eugene. ❤️
When Eugene had a stroke and was in the hospital, I helped my mom get groceries. We took her car because she didn’t wanna climb in my big truck. Needing gas I pulled up to the pump and asked her what side is gas on. She said she didn’t know because Eugene always pump the gas. It was her car! It was at that point I knew that my momma was taken good care of by Gene.
Gene had a stroke, then diabetes, Then my mom passed.
After that he lost his toes, foot, and Eventually, his leg. /s.
His last days were tuff on him.
Transitions are always challenging. But all this!
Now he’s with his wife which he loved whole heartedly. RIP Dad, Thank you for everything. Much love ❤️ Your spirit lives on w me!
Eugene and my Mom met at work, at Weshie company.there together more than a decade. They dated, fell in love, & got married. I went up there often, even after I left the house. Gene worked with hardware. Knobs, hinges, locks. I got to help him a few times and I apparently didn’t miss the chance for a lesson being taught. I learned a lot. Every door I hung I did it to absolute perfection. Thinking one day Gene would see one of my doors and be proud. I am a better craftsman because of him. I could probably build a house with what I learned over the years. It all started with Gene. Much love ❤️ I have for him. He will be missed.

One day in May Eugene & Mom, Tracey and I went to Mayfest. Our family passed another & the men of the two families spoke to one another, speaking like they knew each other for years. How ya doin, family is looking good, have a great day out there, etc.
I asked Gene, did he know him? He did not, He stated we should all be nice and kind to one another. That day left an impression on me for life. Eugene’s kindness and love for life was so present. Present in that smile!! Present in his heart. I am a kinder nicer man because of Eugene. He will be missed!
Much love ❤️
Going to miss your smile, laughter and stories. Rest in peace Uncle Eugene.
