Marcia Howland
Eva's winsome personality will be deeply missed by us as friends. Her parents, the McBrides, were friends of my parent-farmers in Ponca City. This relationship recycled itself when my husband and I took our first pastorate in Bartlesville in 1962. We were friends of the Phillipies who pastored in Oilton. We retired to Tulsa and renewed our friendship with Eva and Dale by attending Red Fork Church of God. Lori and Dale have been a part of our pastoral team since 1998. My father's nick name was "Turp" (for Turpin), and that is how I was often referred to by Eva's husband, Dale which made Eva smile.
They were dependable, loving, helpful, supportive, industrious, faithful, happy, spiritual and loving. Those traits were passed down to their daughters who influenced many in faith development. I will miss her smile, her nod, her conversation, her love. Today I grieve with the family but know that her eternal destiny is where we can join her in due time. Telll my husband Ron, hello for me (November 5, 2023), who reached heaven before we did. Goodbye for now, Eva, but I will cone to see you "in the morning."
A memorial of Gideon Bibles honor your respect for Scripture and guided how you lived.
